Oh boy – a home-mixed kick-ass Mai Tai to end the day and to pounce into evening. The smooth rum, the acidic lime, and the sweet orgeat and pineapple juice. That’s my kind of mai tai.
The first thing I want to do is dive into my toothsome treat. But before I can enjoy the fruits of my 3 minute labor, the cocktail shaker must be cleaned. Bummer.
I am all about expediency and making a task fun – especially when the pending task cuts into my tasty treat enjoyment time, so rather than a laborious scrub and soap and scrub and soap, I’ve found that the best way to clean my cocktail shaker is to fill it halfway with warm water and add a dap of dish soap. Shake, don’t stir! A quick rinse after, and not only have I quickly cleaned my share, but I’ve given my arms a 5 second workout.
The vigorous 5 second shake burns off at least 1/1 millionth of the calories in my mai tai, right?
